THREE men have been injured from a fall following the discovery of a cannabis farm in Carlisle.

Cumbria Police were alerted to reports of an alleged cannabis farm on Lancaster Street at around 2.45pm (May 10).

Upon arrival, a cannabis farm was discovered.

Crews from the air ambulance and paramedics attended to the three injured.

Two men have been taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service road crew, and one patient is still being treated by the Great North Air Ambulance Service critical care team - who arrived on scene at around 4pm.

A spokesperson from the Great North Air Ambulance Service said: "Our critical care team were activated at 4.03pm to reports of three injured patients following a fall in Carlisle."

A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 2:45pm today to an address on Lancaster Street in Carlisle to reports of an alleged cannabis farm.

"Officers attended and gained access to the property and a farm was located.

"Two men have sustained serious injuries and have been taken to hospital. A further man, also sustaining serious injuries, is being taken to hospital via Air Ambulance.

"Police and North West Ambulance Services are currently at the scene and residents may see an increased police presence in the area," they said.

A witness told The News & Star: “There was a drugs raid, a couple of people went onto the roof.

"They tried to jump onto another roof, and failed and fell.

"That’s why the air ambulance was called to take them to hospital."
