Carlisle's motorists will have three sets of roadworks to avoid nearby on the A69 this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that sets of roadworks are due to start this week:

• A69, from 9am May 9 to 6am May 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 Naworth bends, Brampton - traffic Lights with some convoy working to carry out Cat two defect carriageway repairs.
