Cumbria Police officers from Brampton Neighbourhood Policing team have been working with Forestry England following reports of illegal 'off-roading' in the area of Kershope Forest and Spadeadam.
This offending effects the work of the Forestry Commission as well as local wildlife.
Those responsible may be committing driving offences as well as criminal damage, and risk prosecution and their vehicles seized.

Parts of the forest are Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and offences within these sites carry severe penalties.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "We encourage anyone having similar problems to report them by calling 101 or using the online reporting method on our website.
"If the incident is ongoing please call 999."
