PARTYING like it's 1999 led to love for a couple who met each other at a '90s night at The Brickyard in Carlisle on New Year's Eve, 2019.
Little did Luke, 33, and Stevie Tudor-Stewart, 31, know that it would not be the last time they would be seeing the new year in together.
Two years later, learning and development professional Luke knew Stevie was the one and proposed to her in front of an open fire.
Following the announcement to friends and family about their engagement, the pair looked forward to their hen and stag nights.
Luke’s stag was drinks and a band practice with friends... whereas Stevie’s Hen was drinks and dancing in Manchester.
Finally, the big day arrived and the pair married at the Hidden River Barn in Carlisle on November, Thursday 10.
"It felt like one big moment - we had the most fun and relaxed day surrounded by the people we loved most," Stevie, a cognitive behavioural therapist, said.
"We had our friends Tom Jolly as best man and Patrick Crook as the usher, then my maid of honour Billie-Jo Skelton and man of honour Liam Blackwell. For my bridal party I also had my friend Jade Smith, my sister Phoebe Tudor and Luke's sister Emelia Stewart as my bridesmaids.
For the 110 people who came to the day there was sharing Italian food for the day time and a chip shop in the evening.
After a chippy tea the couple cut a three-tier-Lambeth style cake by Sally Cooper Cake Design.
Later in the night, the pair then headed to the dance floor for their first dance as man and wife to These Arms of Mine by Bettye Swann.
The couple then encouraged their friends and family to join them as they hired a band for the night.
After the wedding, the pair headed off to Windermere for a honeymoon.
