A Local audio-visual business has donated a brand-new television to charity.

Carlisle's Peter Tyson shared on social media that they had handed over the brand-new television to Eden Valley Hospice in recognition of, and in their continuing support of 'their amazing work'.

This is not Peter Tyson's first charity donation, with local nurseries, and groups such as the Dalston Cubs & Scouts also being supported with tech donations.

Speaking after the donation, Peter Tyson's marketing manager Leon Brown highlighted the importance of supporting local charities and causes.

He said: "Eden Valley Hospice is one of our charities that we sponsor this year, it is one of our core charities, so any way we can we like to help out and donate.

"We have done some work with the foodbank and other charities and Peter Tysons generally is always looking locally for causes in our area where we can help.

"We obviously know the problems a lot of charities are having with getting sponsorships, getting funding in this time of economic crisis so we are trying to do our bit locally."

Leon also spoke about how Pete Tyson can call on the help of global technology giants such as Samsung and Sony.

"It is no hardship for us to donate a TV, UK wide we are a small company but we are a substantial company in Carlisle, we employ 54 people and we get a lot of sponsorships from our suppliers that help with the costs of charity and fundraising and with big projects we can get the likes of Samsung and Sony involved.

"At the end of the day, it is helping good causes and it is good for business," He added.
