A SECOND man has appeared in court accused of involvement in the burglary and theft of two quad bikes from an Eden Valley farm.
Mark Young, 25, faces one charge.
This alleges that he entered the farm at Plumpton, near Penrith, as a trespasser on 10th May last year, and stole two Honda quad bikes.
Carlisle Magistrates’ Court heard on an earlier occasion that the two items were worth a total of £11,000.
Young, of the city’s Bower Street, appeared at the court remotely earlier today (April, 11).
At the request of Young’s solicitor, no plea was entered to the charge.
A 41-year-old Carlisle man is also facing the same charge and has already appeared in court.
Magistrates heard he is next due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court in relation to the allegation on 24th April.
Young is also due to appear in front of a judge on that date. In the meantime, he has been remanded in custody.
