OVER the last 30 years, we’ve seen the average UK house price rise from less than £50,000 to £294,000 as of December 2022.

With that kind of year-on-year growth, it would be perfectly logical to believe that the idea of buying a house in the UK today for £50,000 or under was just an impossible pipe dream.

However, if you know where to look, and are prepared to take on a bit of a project, there are options out there.
