An annual vintage fair will be held later this month, with some new additions.

The Hethersgill Vintage Rally, which has been held at Carlisle Airport for years, will be coming back again on April 30.

Its chair, Gordon Wilson, said this year will have much of the same for punters to expect, but for entertainment, there will be some new attractions.

Such attractions include a horse display, and a musical performance from Rue and the Rockets.

There will also be the usual auction, as well as a craft fair.

Gordon said: “There will be the usual things like steamers and tractor which date back as far as 1926, and there’s the usual stationary engines.

“Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling will be there as well.”

This year the rally will be at the south side of the airport field area instead of the north this year, so visitors and presenters are to go to the main entrance of the airport off the roundabout.

Tickets for the general public cost £10 and are to be purchased on the day.
