A NEW roofing supply store has opened near Carlisle. 

SIG Roofing, which has branches up and down the country, formally opened its new Carlisle branch on Monday (April,3). 

The store is located near Longtown, on the A6071. 

Manager Richard Whitington said: "We're a roofing specialist, anything to do with roofing really, we're a specialist branch that deals with flat roofing, industrial roofing, pitch roofing, and all roofing products in general really," he said.

Currently, the new premises has brought on board four employees, but Richard said they will be looking to expand on staff come the future. 

"We're hoping for a team of five within the near future - if you're interested please get in touch.

"At the moment, we have a dozen products at special offers just in time for the branch opening on Monday. This varies from plywood to tiles - right across the board really. We look forward to welcoming customers and traders to the new store," he said.

The branch also gave away £25 SIG Roofing credit to the first ten customers that came through the door on the opening day.

SIG Roofing Carlisle comes fully stocked for collections and is able to deliver what you need, to where you need it.

The business, which is aimed at both traders and retail customers, is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4.30pm.
