A NORTH Cumbrian man has been given a 15-month driving ban after he admitted driving dangerously on a road near to Brampton.
Liam McDonald, 22, committed the offence on October 16 last year as he drove a Land Rover Freelander at South View, on the road that leads from Gilsland to Denton Main farm Road End, Carlisle’s Rickergate court heard.
Magistrates imposed the ban, stipulating that the defendant must pass an extend test before he is allowed to drive independently again.
He was also given a community order, which includes 150 hours of unpaid work and up to 10 days rehabilitation activity. The defendant, of Sefton Court, Gilsland, must also pay £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
McDonald was represented by defence lawyer Chris Toms.
