RYAN and Craig Blackburn, the brothers behind Michelin-starred Ambleside restaurant, have collected further recognition for their Lake District dining destination.

The Old Stamp House restaurateurs have been included in the Kuits NRB Top Fifty Power List 2023, which was announced last week (March 14) at Northern Restaurant & Bar, the hospitality trade exhibition held in Manchester.

The brothers were among 11 new entries in the list alongside the likes of Tommy Banks, The Black Swan, Oldstead, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Northcote, Langho and Christopher Laidler, Climat, Manchester.

The list is judged by a panel of hospitality experts in the north of England and recognises operators who have excelled commercially and critically in the last year.

Chef patron Ryan Blackburn said: ''Craig and I are always a little bit taken aback when you receive recognition for what we do every day.

"We are both incredibly passionate about what we do, and we believe in constantly evolving and developing what we do. Hospitality has faced and is facing lots of challenges at the moment, but this recognition is testament to the fact that hard work and determination pays off, especially when you have an equally dedicated team on that journey with you.

"So, congratulations to everyone that features in this year’s list and keep doing what you are doing in helping to make the north of England the UK’s leading vibrant dining destination," he said.
