A round-up of the all the results following another action-packed gameweek of North-West Cumbrian non-league football.

WORKINGTON AFC 0 - 1 MACCLESFIELD

Danny Grainger's Reds were narrowly beaten 1-0 by the Northern Premier League - West leaders in front of 1,670 at Borough Park.

Alex Curran's 18th minute effort was the difference on the day, with a 90th minute red card for Sam Smith an added blow for the hosts. 

The third placed Reds now trail Macclesfield on the league table by 12 points. 

ASHINGTON AFC 1 - 0 CARLISLE CITY

Carlisle City's poor run of recent form continued last night at Woodhorn Lane, with Jim Nichols' 12th placed Cumbrians being defeated by title challengers Ashington.

Dean Briggs' late strike snatched the points away from the visitors.

Nichols' side are now on a run of four league games without a win, with this latest defeat coming after a thrilling 3-3 draw against Guisborough Town last weekend.

PENRITH 2 - 2 WEST ALLOTMENT CELTIC 

Darren Edmondson's Penrith moved up the Northern Football League - Division 1 to 16th off the back of two positive results.

A thumping 4-1 win over 18th placed Pickering Town was followed by a 2-2 draw with West Allotment Celtic last night, a result which ended a four match winning streak for the Celtic.

Two goals from Luke Hunter within nine minutes at Frenchfields were subsequently cancelled out by strikes from Callum Learmouth and Jacob Forster.

CLEATOR MOOR CELTIC 0 - 3 STEETON 

Cleator Moor recorded their fifth defeat in six games after their 3-0 defeat by play-off chasing Steeton.

This result kept the West Cumbrians firmly rooted to the bottom of the North West Counties Football League- First Division North.
