A production company is currently on the lookout for a body double of a very well-known Cumbrian.

Freelance Production are looking for someone who could be a body double for the fell runner, Joss Naylor.

The company are making a film about Joss Naylor and are looking for someone with similar attributes to play the role.

A spokesperson from Freelance Production said: "We're filming a short film on behalf of Joss Naylor, which focuses on his life and his 1970's world record for the Three Peaks Challenge.

"It's a very small budget short that we hope to show at a few festivals and on social media.

"We're looking for a fell runner with a similar build to Joss in their 20-40 (Tall and Slender) who could be a stand-in/pretend to be Joss for us in a couple scenes.

We wouldn't film any closeups of them or their face, it will mostly be a figure running in the distance.

"We're shooting in and around Glasgow on March 25 and March 26. We would cover transport and accommodation, but this would be unpaid as we're all doing it for Joss, he recently had a stroke and we would like to get this done before his health deteriorates."

Joss Naylor is an MBE from Wasdale Head in the Lake District, he is a well-known fell runner who set many long distance records.

Due to his many accolades for fell running, Joss has become known as the Iron Man and King of the Fells.

Born in 1936, Joss took up running at the age of 24 in 1960, by 1971 he had completed the Bob Graham Round, which covers 42 fells over a 66-mile distance in a 24 hour period. At the time he was only the sixth person to complete the challenge.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s he won several other fell running races, setting a number of records.

Joss considered the 72 Peak Lakeland Circuit to be his greatest achievement, he set a record for this which was left unbroken for 13 years.
