Burglary - Cockermouth

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Parklands area of Cockermouth in the early hours of February 21 whereby entry was made by an insecure rear door.

Police would like anyone in the Cockermouth area who may have seen anyone trying to get into gardens or houses in the early hours of the morning, to come forward. They would also like anyone who has CCTV or doorbell cameras in this area to check it for any suspicious activity it may have captured.

Anti-social behaviour involving youths - Workington

Police are currently investigating several incidents of anti-social behaviour involving youths on the Derwent Howe Industrial Estate, Workington.

During one of the incidents criminal damage was caused to property belonging to a store.

These incidents occurred on the evening of Tuesday, February 21 between 6pm and 7pm.

Damage to police vehicle - Workington

Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred between 6:30pm and 6:50pm on Tuesday February 21 on Iredale Crescent, Workington.

The incident involved damage being caused to the wingmirror of a police vehicle that was parked in the area.

£3000 worth of items taken in Burglary - Carlisle 

Police are investigating an incident of burglary which has occurred at a building site on Orton Road, Carlisle overnight between January 24 - 25.

It is believed suspects have damaged a secure portacabin in order to gain access and then taken numerous tools, totalling to approximately £3000 worth of items.

The items taken include, a plate wacker, total station charging unit, Milwaukee hammer drill, drain camera, wire tying gun, box of wire spools and other items.

Caravan stolen - Longtown 

A caravan has been stolen from a property on the A6071 between Longtown and Gretna.

It was removed between 5pm on Friday February 17 and 1.30pm on Saturday February 18.

The caravan is a white Swift Challenger 580 with a burgundy stripe.

Burglary  - Kirkby Stephen

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a burglary at a premises on Vicarage Lane, Kirkby Stephen.

The incident is reported to have occurred between 2:30am and 3:30am on 1 February.

Cash had been taken during the incident.

Death of 80 year old after crash - Workington 

Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a one vehicle collision on Ramsey Brow, Workington at around 7:56am (Feb 21).

The collision involved a Vauxhall Corsa.

Despite the efforts of a member of public and emergency services the driver of the vehicle a 80-year-old man was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later.
