A VIDEO which apparently shows an explosive fire incident on a Carlisle street has gone viral on TikTok.

The short video shared to the TikTok account 'Certi CA' on Tuesday, February 21 appears to show an incident on Osborne Avenue which occurred on Friday, February 10.

The video, which contains a time stamp showing 12.13am, reveals a quiet Carlisle street complete with a strolling cat.

Moments later, debris flies out into the street from a house, followed by a cry for help. The cat bolts.

According to the fire service, three fire engines attended the fire which involved the kitchen of a domestic property and firefighters at the scene used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel.

Cumbria Police logs show that police were called to the scene at 12.20am, and officers assisted with the temporary evacuation of nearby homes.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and there are not believed to be any injuries.

The video on the global social media site currently has 1.8 million views and has been liked by viewers 66,000 times.
