For this Nostalgia edition we are going to be taking another look back at the mid 1990s.
We are now between a quarter of a century and three decades on from this time and a lot has changed here in Cumbria and all across the world.
Just like today the late 1990s were a very exciting time and there was a lot happening. This was a time when the online auction website Ebay was founded, the Java Programming Language was released and the first Trans-Pacific hot air balloon solo flight was completed by Steve Fossett.
It was also a time when Princess Diana and Prince Charles get divorced, the internet search engine "Ask Jeeves" was created and the Summer Olympics were held in Atlanta, Georgia.
There was also an awful lot happening here in Cumbria too, here at the News & Star we've searched through our archives to find some of the most fascinating photographs from this time. We hope that you enjoy this trip down memory lane just as much as we have.
The first photo shows Carlisle United playing against Wycombe in November of 1995 whilst the second photo shows a Salterbeck School reunion that same year.
We can also see an event taking place at Kingmoor Nature Reserve and the Harraby Army Cadets at Talkin Tarn in 1996.
Other pictures show the Langwathby May Carnival Parade and and the Wigton cricket team who were cup winners in 1997.
The final photos show the Moscow State Circus visiting Carlisle and Her Majesty The Queen visiting Wigton.
