Carlisle United won 1-0 - and it's fair to say their fans had a few shots on target too.

Blues supporters descended on a Rochdale pub before the game and...well, we'll let the numbers do the talking.

An incredible 526 shots of Jagermeister later - including 340 in a single round - and the travelling United faithful were off to Spotland to cheer on Paul Simpson's team.

The thirsty Blue Army managed to break records at the Cask and Feather for the amount of Jager sunk by an away team's fans.

The pub keeps a leaderboard of the most drinks bought in one round, and the most consumed in total during their team's away day against Rochdale.

Carlisle's well-lubricated followers' 340-shot round topped the charts by a huge margin over previous leaders Newport County on 120.

And their overall tally of 526 shots of the spirit went past Hartlepool United fans' effort of 520.

The pub, which welcomes away fans before each Rochdale game, saw its bar covered in shots as some of the Blues' 1,634 travelling army set about the boozy challenge.

"Well Carlisle, thank you for coming - 340 jagers in one round," posted the Cask and Feather on Facebook.

"Nearly drank me out of me out of Jagermeister, 526 shots later.

"Don't worry I got some more."

A few hours later, and supporters were toasting Simmo's Blues after John-Kymani Gordon's goal earned a third straight victory.

Cheers...
