Carlisle fire crews were called out this week to a bulldog that was trapped near a river.
They were called out at around 11pm on January 18.
Crews from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Longtown attended to the incident.
The dog was stuck on an embankment by the River Caldew, just off Castle Way on Milbourne Street.
Twin rope access gear was used, the dog was successfully rescued, taken to the vets and given back to their owner.
