CUMBRIA Business Growth Hub is offering free advice to anyone thinking of starting their own business or in the first three years of trading.

The Business Start-Up Support programme includes one-to-one adviser time, a three-day business start-up course and a range of other free training, seminars, workshops and webinars.

The programme also offers a part-funded business grant for specialist consultancy support and signposting to other relevant business support activity.

Lesley Robinson, head of business support at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce on the scheme said:

"Self-employment can be a minefield but also a very lonely and daunting experience.

"We’ve been supporting individuals to start trading and young businesses develop and grow for over 15 years now so we certainly know what we’re doing!

"The BSUS programme can support any business idea, in more or less any sector throughout Cumbria and I’d urge anyone either thinking about self-employment or in the very early stages of training to get in touch."
