CUMBRIA Fire and Rescue Service were called out to Greenbank Avenue in Whitehaven on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were present at the scene for half an hour and the fire was successfully put out.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 16.01 hours on January 10 2023, three fire engines attended an incident on Greenbank Avenue, Whitehaven.
"The fire involved a tumble dryer in a two-storey domestic property.
"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and were detained half an hour."
