New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Carlisle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) website shows.
Howard Arms Hotel, a pub, bar or nightclub at 13 Front Street, Brampton was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 11.
The FSA found that at the Howard Arms Hotel, hygienic food handling was 'good', management of food safety was 'very good', and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building was 'generally satisfactory'.
Lucky Chop Suey House, a takeaway at 49 Newtown Road, Carlisle was also given a score of four on November 11.
