CUMBRIA will welcome Greatest Hits Radio to its airwaves on FM from Spring next year, as CFM gets set to rebrand.
As Greatest Hits Radio, the station will become home to a new local mid-afternoon show hosted by CFM Breakfast host Robbie Dee as well as shows from presenters including Simon Mayo, Jackie Brambles, Paul Gambaccini, Martin Kemp, Kate Thornton, Jenny Powell and many more.
Speaking about the upcoming change Robbie Dee said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Greatest Hits Radio family 1pm – 4pm weekday afternoons across Cumbria and south west Scotland from April 2023.
"The music is fantastic from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and as soon as you switch the radio on you know every great song!
"And after 20 years on the breakfast show I’m also extremely excited about NOT getting up at 4am.”
Advertising for local businesses will continue as normal upon rebrand in April 2023, and the station will also continue to support disadvantaged young people in the area through its Cash for Kids charity.
