A major Cumbrian road has been cleared after a crash caused delays and slow traffic.

A spokesperson from Cumbria police said: "We were called at around 6:20am to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision."

They added that two vehicles were involved, a Ford Transit and a Ford Fiesta.

The road is now cleared as of roughly 9am.

The Northwest Ambulance Service and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service also attended, but it is not believed that there were any serious injuries, according to the police.

The A595 was closed just south of the Blackbeck roundabout on the A595.
