- In the dock are 29-year-old Kane Hull, of no fixed abode, and 33-year-old Liam Porter, of Fulmar Place, Carlisle.
- Both deny murdering Mr Kirkpatrick on September 18 last year (2021) at Carlyle’s Court, in Carlisle city centre. Both will not give evidence in court
- The judge in charge of the trial is The Honourable Mr Justice Linden.
- Prosecution and Defence Barristers set to finish summarising evidence
