One of Cumbria’s leading accountancy firms, Lamont Pridmore, has honoured a talented student at Kirkbie Kendal School with an award for their commitment and success in business studies.

Koray Cetin was chosen to receive the Lamont Pridmore Business Student of the Year Award 2022 by his teachers for his continued hard work and positive attitude to the subject.

Described by the school as a “model student since Year 10”, Koray has worked diligently throughout his time at the school, even during remote learning because of the pandemic.

His positive attitude combined with maturity and an inquiring mind resulted in him achieving fantastic A Level grades.  Koray plans to read Economics and Finance at Lancaster University in 2023.

Lamont Pridmore’s tax director Kerry Hindson said: “On behalf of everyone at Lamont Pridmore I would like to congratulate Koray on his success in his Business Studies course.

“The teaching staff at the school all speak very highly of him and it is clear that he is very deserving of this award.”

Lamont Pridmore has sponsored the award at Kirkbie Kendal School for many years now, alongside several similar awards that it runs with schools across Cumbria, which have helped to encourage future generations of entrepreneurs.

Graham Lamont, chief executive at Lamont Pridmore, added: “We are very proud of our long association with Kirkbie Kendal School, and other educational institutions throughout the county.

“Recognising and promoting young business talent is key to the future of our region.”
