Details of Carlisle bare-knuckle boxer Danny Christie's next fight have been revealed.

The Currock fighter will take on Jamie 'Boom Boom' Jones in Newcastle upon Tyne next month.

It is billed as the feature fight of the night at BKFC Newcastle.

The Cumbrian and the Gateshead native will go head to head on Saturday, November 26.

It is Christie's second fight in the licensed bare-knuckle scene after his victory over Terry Brazier at Wembley Arena in August.

The 37-year-old overpowered mixed martial arts star Brazier to win by technical knock-out in the third round.

That came on his debut at BKFC27 London - and now he meets Jones, an experienced MMA fighter who also had a spell in professional boxing.

Christie, speaking on his YouTube channel, said he was looking forward to taking on a tough opponent.

“I’ve got respect for Jamie, we’ve spoken on and off for a couple of years and I’m a fan of his," he said.

“If memory serves he's had 140+ fights, is an ex-pro, has had MMA fights, he’s rough, tough, durable, he loves to pagger.

“So I’m predicting an absolute barnstormer of a fight. I think we’re going to steal the show.

“I’ll be going for the knockout as usual but I’m not making any promises other than I will be 110 per cent of myself on the night.

“May the best man win. These are the kind of fights I signed up to bare-knuckle for."
