HELEN Skelton’s ex-husband, Richie Myler, is expecting a baby with his new partner only months after ending his marriage with Helen.

Proud Cumbrian Helen Skelton is currently appearing on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing as well as doing her regular radio slot.

Richie's new partner, businesswoman Stephanie Thirkell, 32, took to Instagram to share the news, according to The Sun newspaper.

Helen married the rugby league star in 2013 before having the first of their three children in June 2015.

According to The Sun, a friend of Richie’s said last night: “Stephanie and Richie are obviously thrilled. They have moved very quickly but are extremely happy together.

“The timing of the pregnancy may raise a few eyebrows though.

“It is obviously such a huge step, and one made remarkably quickly off the back of Helen and Richie’s eight-year marriage ending.

“But Richie and Helen maintain cordial relations, and in a way the timing is actually perfect as Helen is so happy at the moment.”

When Myler ended their eight-year marriage Helen was heartbroken.

She said at the time: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”

Since the breakup in April, Helen has begun her Strictly Come Dancing Campaign and started presenting BBC Radio Five Live’s Sunday morning show, taking over from Love Island presenter, Laura Whitmore.

Helen is currently the bookies’ third favourite to take home the famous glitterball trophy with Tyler West and actor, Will Mellor currently joint favourites.
