A TEENAGER from Houghton north of Carlisle has been given a driving ban after he admitted drink driving.
Adam Noble, 19, committed the offence on June 18 while driving a VW Polo in Mary Street, Carlisle, the city’s Rickergate court heard. He was marginally over the drink drive limit.
Magistrates imposed a one-year ban, with £200 costs and a £104 victim surcharge. The defendant, of Antonine Way, was also fined £259.
He was offered a rehabilitation course which will reduce the ban by 12 weeks if completed by April next year. The defendant's alcohol breath rading was 43mcg in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
