Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is to launch a series of workshops taking a no-nonsense look at HR and recruitment, delivered in partnership with Realise HR.

Aimed at business leaders in small and medium buinesses - who are often juggling multiple responsibilities, HR being just one of them - the workshops will provide key insights, top tips and best practices designed attract top talent, understand how to retain people, and streamline internal processes.

The two-hour workshops will take place at Roundthorn Country House, Penrith except for an additional free webinar which will be live streamed.

The sessions will be led by various members of the Realise HR Team including CEO Claire McLean, head of recruitment Martin Norris, people systems partner Lorraine Millican and people partner Helen Askew.

Topics for discussion in each of the seminars include how to attract the best candidates, how to best manage people and how to maximise employee retention.

“The power of the Chamber is absolutely its network and I’m pleased to be able to partner with so many businesses to offer such diverse sessions” Eve Halliday, Head of Commercial and Business Growth, from Cumbria Chamber said.

“These sessions offer an alternative look at HR and staffing issues which we know are prevalent across the county currently and have been for some time.”

“If you find yourself stuck in an employment rut, book your space and let’s have a conversation about what we can do differently.”
