Books of condolence for The Queen are still open for people to sign across Cumbria.
The County Council have announced that the books in public locations across the city will remain open for people to sign until 5pm this evening (Tuesday, September 20)
Thousands of people across Cumbria have written their messages of condolence over the official mourning period of the last ten days.
The Queen’s state funeral was held yesterday, and hundreds of people gathered in Carlisle’s Bitts Park to watch the events on a big screen.

Alongside the physical books of condolence in Cumbria, Buckingham Palace have also released a virtual book of condolence for people wishing to pay their respects.
