THE PARTNER of a former rock musician who was killed by the AstraZeneca vaccine is still dealing with the consequences despite vindication coming from his inquest.

Vikki Spit, who lives in Alston, shared the house with her fiancée Zion who fell ill eight days after receiving the vaccine and tragically died in May 2021.

At his inquest on August 17 2022, the Newcastle coroner concluded that the 48-year-old died as a result of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Shortly after his passing, Zion's organs would go on to help save three people's lives.  Earlier this week, Vikki attended The Order of St John Award, which recognises the family of organ donors after their death.

"It's a kick in the teeth, Z's death isn't recognised, is ignored and is called misleading on social media because of how he died but he still went on immediately to save three other people's lives.

"I received a letter from a woman saying how Z's organs had changed her life. He didn't die completely in vain, which is nice at least," she said.

Vikki now turns her attention to drumming up support for those that have been affected by the vaccine through the network of VIB UK (Vaccine Injured Bereaved) however, it is becoming increasingly difficult having recently been banned of the social media platform Twitter for what they consider to be portraying 'misleading information'.

"It's disgusting, I've told them I can show them coroners reports, death certificates and news articles that prove it happened. I feel very cut-off and isolated by it," she said.

Vikki has had to grow tough skin in order to deal with the harassment she has consistently had to face on Twitter since Zion's passing.

"People for a brief period of time, we're telling me the death certificate didn't say that Z was killed by the vaccine. I tried to explain it, but it was just people telling me I was wrong. I can't believe that people who are not coroners or experts would tell someone who has been living this for over a year and sat in the inquest all day that they are wrong.

I felt vindicated for a bit but even now we're still being suppressed and silenced

Vikki believes certain media institutions have played a part in creating such difficulty for her and those campaigning for VIB UK.

"There silence on the impacts of the vaccine is seen as being complicit with laying into us and labelling us as 'anti-vaxxers'. Being called an anti-vaxxer is such a kick in the teeth. You don't die from a vaccine or get injured for being anti-vaxx, that's not how it works," she said.

A debate was opened by MP Sir Jeremy Wright on September 6 in Parliament on Covid-19 vaccines and the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme.

Vikki and members of VIB UK are still campaigning for the vaccine compensation scheme to be reformed to allow others who have been injured by the vaccine to receive compensation more easily, as at the moment, eligible victims must show they have become 60 per cent disabled as a result to receive a one-off payment.
