Crash on A596 blocks road
There are reports of a crash on the A596 in the Whinnow area causing the road to be partially blocked.
Cumbria Road Watch reports that traffic is slow in both directions.

A spokesperson said: "A596 partially blocked between Thursby Roundabout and the Whinnow turn off due to a collision on the bend at the lay-by. Traffic slow in both directions."
Cumbria Police have informed us that the road in the area is closed and officers are currently investigating the incident.
