THE in-Cumbria Business Awards 2022 is being staged at The Halston in Carlisle on November 24.
Awards are up for grabs in 12 categories, including the highly respected accolade of Businessperson of the Year and the special award for Lifetime Contribution to Cumbria.
United Utilities has been announced as the headline sponsor, with stand-up comedian and writer Cally Beaton hosting the event.
Cally is an award-winning comic, who has won accolades for her performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as appearing on TV shows including The Apprentice, You’re Fired and QI.
Sue Riley, in-Cumbria associate editor, says: “It has been another really strong year for entries and it has been hard work to narrow them down to just a few.”
Lee Taylor-Craddock, commercial director for awards organisers Newsquest Cumbria, says: “I am absolutely delighted that United Utilities are continuing their long association with the in-Cumbria Business Awards as headline sponsor again for 2022.
“We are extremely grateful for their commitment to this year’s awards along with all the category sponsors.
“It’s important events like this that allow us to take a moment, step back, celebrate and recognise the amazing work that goes on across our business community.”
