A MAN has been killed in a serious road traffic collision on the A596, Bank End near Thursby on Sunday morning.
Police were called at 5:35am (August 21), to a report of a collision on the A596, Bank End near Thursby.
The collision involved a Silver Ford MPV and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a local 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification has not yet taken place.
The road was closed for a number of hours whilst a Forensic Collision Investigation was conducted.
The section of A596 has since been reopened.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
