A Workington man has set up a dog grooming products company who are now selling their goods around the area.
Lee Dobinson, who is the founding and managing director of Bugalugs, realised there was a lack of transparency with ingredients on dog grooming products.
At the time Lee was already running a successful company, Lakeland Cosmetics, Bugalugs' parent company, and so decided to start manufacturing pet products which were safe, vegan and cruelty free.
Lee explains that he uses only the highest quality ingredients and says that he ensures he is creating products that pet owners and groomers can always trust.

Since launching in 2020 Bugalugs Pet Care has become a disruptor brand within the Pet Care market. The brand has gained interest from smaller independent businesses, professional groomers and major pet retailers across the nation and globe.
This includes entering Jollyes, Just for Pets, Mole Valley, Wilkos and all Pets at Home stores. The brands most recent success has been the biggest yet securing a nationwide contract with Asda. This has seen a range of Bugalugs products on the shelves of over 220 Asda stores across the UK.
Mr Dobinson said: "The success of Asda has presented Lakeland Cosmetics the home of Bugalugs with the opportunity to expand the business. This includes actively hiring more employees as well as working together with more local independent businesses.
"A positive outcome that we believe is important for the brand and the community."
Bugalugs attends has attended several trade shows on an international level to raise brand awareness.
Since forming they have attended Crufts 2022, Zoomark 2021 and Interzoo 2022 amongst others.

Some of their products include shampoos, deodorising spray and nose and paw balm.
