This week our featured wedding will be that of Nicola Chappelhow and Michael James Morley, who have tied the knot to become Mr and Mrs Morley.
The couple are from Clifton in Penrith, and both own a plant hire company and they both met at a Young Farmers Party in May 2014.
Michael proposed to Nicola back in October of 2020 at High Grounds Farm where Michael had the ring sat on the seat of the new JCB digger they had just bought together.
The couple are married at St Michael, Lowther Church, followed by a Marquee at Nicola's parents farm, High Ground Farm.
They explained that the wedding had a rustic farming theme due to both of their backgrounds.
Nicola's outfit was a light Gold and Ivory dress and veil from Eden Wedding Boutique, Penrith. Her hair was done by Hair by Hair loft in Penrith and make up by Retreat Beauty.
The groom's best men were Jamie Stables, a friend of the bride and groom, Craig Robinson, also a friend of the couple and Riley Hodgson who is the groom's son.
His ushers were his brother John Morley, Johnathon Bell, a friend of the bride and groom, Peter Stables, a friend of the couple and Dan Taylforth another friend of the couple.
The bride's maid of honour was Amy Wilson, Nicola's cousin; her bridesmaids were Angela Chappelhow, the bride's sister, Laura Chappelhow, her other sister, Becka Richardson, a friend of the couple, Louise Butterworth, a friend of the couple, Joanne Harrison, the bride's cousin, and Amy Brown a friend of the bride and groom.
Their dresses were a Stormy Blue colour from online website Babaroni.
The church and marquee flowers were done by groom's mum Bernadette Morley, the brides mum Catherine Chappelhow, the grooms family friend Margaret and the grooms aunty Christine Pickervance.
The bouquets and buttonholes were made by Donna Thompson.
The groomsmen came to the church in a cattle wagon and the bride with her bridesmaids came in two Audis supplied and drove by Donna Thompson.
There was also a Range Rover supplied by Chaz Cowperthwaite. The bride, groom and groom’s son left church in their Volvo wagon.
Favours were yellow cattle tags showing the wedding date and Mr and Mrs Morley.
The catering was done by Fell and Dales Catering and the wedding cake was a one-tiered fruit cake made by groom’s mum Bernadette Morley.
250 chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were supplied by Grange Baker.
The couple's first dance was Dan & Shay From The Ground Up and Children of the Night. The entertainment was provided by Star Audio DJ.
