BLUE Green Algae, which is dangerous to dogs has been found across lakes in our area.
The presence of blue green algae in nearby lakes has been confirmed by the Environment Agency who produced warnings.
Loweswater, Bassenthwaite, Derwentwater (and Ullswater, Thirlmere and Windermere) are affected as of August 2022.
If you think your dog has been exposed you must take immediate actions by hosing down your dog with fresh water and then contact the vets for further advice.
