A HAPPY 15th birthday has been wished to 'miracle' dog Max who sadly died of a brain tumour earlier this year.

Great North Air Ambulance wished the late pooch a happy heavenly birthday after he sadly died in April.

A spokesman said: "We'd like to wish Max the Miracle Dog a happy 15th birthday.

"Even though he crossed over rainbow bridge not too long ago, he's still making an incredible difference to his supporters and our charity.

"If you can, please take some time out this weekend and have a Brew for Moo, to reflect and remember all the hearts he touched. Max Out in the Lake District."

Max, from Keswick ,was introduced to the world as a lifeline to owner Kerry Irving, who adopted the friendly pooch after a car accident in 2006 left him in excruciating pain, both physically and mentally.

In April, Max's owner confirmed he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

During his life, 'Max the Miracle Dog', from Keswick, raised more than £450,000 for charities, alongside fellow pooches Paddy and Harry.
