A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment, and attempted rape.
This is after police were investigating an incident in the Denton Holme area on Monday evening.
The incident was an alleged sexual assault that occurred in a field near the bay in Denton Holme and the path towards Currock, Carlisle on August 8, at around 8:30pm.
The incident involved a man and a male victim.
The man, who is from the Blackburn area, is currently in police custody.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident – which occurred in a field near the bay in Denton Holme - to come forward if they are yet to do so.
