There are weeds 'everywhere' in Carlisle, according to our letter writer.
DO city and county councillors go around blindfold?
Do they wear blinkers while walking or driving around Carlisle? Do any of them notice that the streets are beset by weeds, everywhere!
Do any of them think, 'my goodness Carlisle looks scruffy'?
And most importantly do any of them bring the state of the streets up at meetings? The answer is quite plain.
When will this change? I bring this up every year, and still there is no improvement.
No pride in the city is my conclusion, just millions of pounds of grant money spent on vanity projects, while basic services for ordinary people are neglected.
