THE case of a 20-year-old Carlisle man accused of a robbery offence has been sent to the city’s crown court.
Michael Dean-Norman accused of committing the offence on August 3 outside the Spar convenience store in Hutton Way. Prosecutors say he robbed a young man of a bicycle worth £500.
Defence lawyer Duncan Campbell told the court that the defendant would deny the allegation. District Judge John Temperley sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on September 2.
In the meantime, Dean-Norman, of Yewdale Road, Carlisle, was remanded in custody.
