A SIX week jail sentence has been handed to a young Carlisle man who attacked three people, including two police officers.
Bradley Mark William Norman, 24, who admitted all three assaults, was guilty of a prolonged assault, carried out as he tried to evade capture, said magistrates at the city’s Rickergate court.
One of the three victims suffered a cut lip.
The court heard that the defendant committed all three offences in Penrith on December 13 last year.
Norman, of Brisco Road, Upperby, originally denied two of the assaults but changed his plea to guilty.
Magistrates said the offending was aggravated by the defendant’s criminal record. When released from prison, the defendant must pay a £128 victim surcharge.
One victim was an 'emergency worker' but court records do not specify that the person was a police officer.
