A COMMUNITY order has been imposed on a 35-year-old Carlisle woman who has admitted using threatening behaviour at the city’s hospital.
Rebecca Wardle, of Well Bank Place, Carlisle, who has previously been prosecuted for damaging NHS property, also pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers when she appeared before magistrates.
At the city’s Rickergate court, she pleaded guilty to:
- Using threatening behaviour at Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary on July 14 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
- Causing criminal damage to a police vehicle.
- Two counts of police assault on July 15.
- And obstructing a police officer on July 14.
Magistrates imposed a one year community order, which will include up to ten days of rehabilitation activity. She must also pay £50 compensation to each of the police officers she assaulted.
The defendant was represented in court by defence lawyer Chris Toms.
