A CARLISLE man has been banned from contacting two people after he admitted sending them threatening messages.
Darren Hillary, 32, committed both Malicious Communication Act offences, against a man and a woman respectively, on June 28. In both cases, the city’s Rickergate court heard, he used threats to cause distress or anxiety.
Magistrates set the sentence date as August 1 and granted bail on condition that Hillary, of Thomson Street, Carlisle, has no contact with the victims.
The sentencing hearing is expected to last 30 minutes. A pre-sentence report was ordered when the defendant entered his guilty pleas on July 5.
