A VAN driver has been arrested following an 'altercation' with a motorcyclist and a quad bike rider.
Police are investigating the altercation which took place on July 17.
The incident occurred on Swan Street and Mary Street in Longtown at approximately 5.30pm.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "Officers wish to hear from anyone who saw a white Ford Transit van being involved in an altercation with the rider of a quad bike and a rider of a motorbike.
"The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding and harassment.
"He was subsequently released on bail."
