The defendant failed to appear at Workington's court for a hearing, a district judge was told.
A MARYPORT woman has been fined after she admitted possessing two illegal drugs.
Melissa Ridley, 36, of George Terrace, pleaded guilty to offences involving cannabis and Valium. She committed both offences on June 27.
At Carlisle’s Rickergate court, a district judge imposed fines of £80 and £50. She was also fined a further £120 for failing to surrender at Workington Magistrates’ Court for a scheduled hearing on July 12. Her guilty pleas were taken into account.
She must also pay costs of £85. The drugs will be destroyed.
