Police are asking people if they recognise a man so they can speak to him about a motorcycle that failed to stop for them.

A spokesperson from Cumbria police said: “The incident occurred around 3:50 pm on July 18 on Upperby Road, Carlisle, following reports of three males pushing an offroad motorcycle along Newbiggin Road.

“Officers attended the area and located an offroad motorcycle on Upperby Road heading towards Carlisle city centre.

“Officers requested for the motorcycle to stop but the rider failed to stop, there [were] two other male passengers on the motorcycle.

“The motorcycle is described as a blue and white offroad motorcycle which did not have a number plate attached.”

Anyone who recognises this man or who has information which may assist officers is urged to contact the police.
