A THIRTY-six-year-old Carlisle man has been given a community order and unpaid work for assaulting a woman by beating her.
Anthony Wigham committed the offence on June 9, the city’s Rickergate court heard. The one-year order includes 40 hours of unpaid work.
The defendant, of Ashley Street, Carlisle, must pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
He was represented by defence lawyer Anthony Wilson.
