A BACKGROUND report is to be prepared on a 24-year-old Carlisle man who has admitted three assaults – including two against police officers.

Bradley Mark William Norman, 24, of Brisco Road, Upperby, committed all three offences on December 13 at Penrith, the city’s Rickergate court heard.

The defendant admitted assault of a woman and two male police officers.

He initially denied two of the assaults but changed his pleas to guilty.

After hearing the details, magistrates adjourned sentencing until August 3 and granted the defendant bail until that day.
