A WOMAN in her 20s has allegedly been raped after leaving a city centre pub with a man in the early hours on Sunday morning.
Detectives investigating a report of a rape in Collier Lane in Carlisle in the early hours of Sunday morning, June 26, are now appealing for information.
Police were contacted at around 3.50am by a third-party reporting a woman in her 20s in distress at Walkabout.
The woman has subsequently disclosed to police that she was raped after leaving the bar with a man at around 3am.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Collier Lane.
The woman is receiving support from specialist officers and partners.
Anyone with information about this incident which may assist officers is urged to come forward.
